REGISTRATION AND ATTENDANCE FEES

ACTIVE STUDENTS

€ 50 (registration) + € 200 (attendance and registration « Andante con Fuoco APS » association) per student.

AUDITORS

For the whole period including the closing concert: € 80

Daily entrance: € 30

Closing concert only: € 15

Classes are open to piano duos of any nationality and with no age limit. Students may be either active participants or auditors. The course will be confirmed if at least three duos register; no more than five will be admitted. Each duo will receive three lessons according to a timetable that will be decided by 5 July 2024. The Masterclass and the final concert will take place in Rome at iCarus, via Statilio Ottato 62.

ADMISSION

Candidates must apply as established duos. Applicants should complete and submit by 9 June 2024 the form attached to this leaflet (also available on the web site www.andanteconfuoco.it (registration form), together with a youtube link to an unmodified video of at least two contrasting pieces of music lasting 20 minutes overall. The recording must be of the pieces indicated in the application form. The list of those admitted will be communicated by 22 June 2024. Decisions on admissions are final and irreversible. The course teachers will decide which of the pieces proposed by candidates are to be perfected during the Masterclass and communicate their decisions by 22 June 2024. Participants will be required to bring with them copies of their scores. Once the places available have been filled a waiting list will be drawn up.

Classes will be held on the dates indicated.

COURSE CALENDAR

The timetable of lessons will be communicated to participants by 5 July 2024.

STUDENTS CONCERT

At the end of the Masterclass students will be invited to participate in the closing concert, which will be recorded on professional equipment; the recordings will be made available to the active participants. The duo judged to have given the best performance will be invited to give a concert in the course of the Andante con fuoco Aps 2024/25 concert season, for which they will receive € 300 as reimbursement of expenses.

The Association may assign a scholarship to the best piano duo.

PRIVATE STUDY

During the course period active participants will be able to study in suitable premises made available by the Association.

ACCOMODATION

The first three duos to register will be offered free overnight accomodation in the homes of members of the Association.

RULES APPLYING TO FOREIGN STUDENTS

Non-Italian students who are citizens of EU countries will need to present the E/111 as required by international agreements on health cover of visitors. Students who are citizens of non-EU countries will need to show evidence of health insurance covering the period of the Masterclass.

REGISTRATION AND ATTENDANCE

Applications to register will only be considered valid if forms have been completed in full and received by 9 June 2024. Applications must include:

• The application form;

• A copy of the receipt of the registration fee;

• Detailed curricula vitae;

• A photograph of the duo applying;

• Copies of ID documents (front and back).

Candidates should apply individually indicating the name of their duo. Auditors may apply at later date. 

FEES

The organisation responsible for the Masterclass is the Association Andante con Fuoco A.P.S. In order to register for the Masterclass you will need to pay a non-refundable membership fee of € 50 per student. Please pay by bank draft into the Association’s account:

Course fees fall due after the selection process has been completed and should be paid by bank draft no later than 30 June 2024. The registration fee will only be reimbursed if the minimum number of duos do not enrol.
